It’s been a big week for us over at Grawlixes. We just got back from the first 3 dates of our tour in Nelson at The Boathouse, Marahau at Tim’s Place and Takaka at The Mussel Inn. Thank you to everyone for coming out and enjoying the shows. It’s so lovely to show people our new music, and have people really loving it.
The album reviews have started coming in as well, so far from Jess for Qobuz, Tony Stamp from Radio NZ Music & Kev Rowland from Muzic.net.nz. Kev’s was a real highlight with him saying “within 90 seconds of Honey Bees I was enthralled, and immediately felt that this was why I review, as every so often something comes through which is so very special indeed that it has a major impact on me. This is one of those albums, and from the very beginning I knew this was significant, and that feeling kept growing as the album kept playing….It is timeless….They are soon going to be undertaking a 12-date tour, which on the evidence of this is not to be missed, as this is something which will be enjoyed by lovers of folk, country, acoustic, singer/songwriter material. Simply essential”
We also found out Honey Bees is #1 on the SRN charts for a 2nd week running, which is truly humbling. We are very grateful for everyone for enjoying our music, requesting the songs on the radio, and voting. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
